The needs of the pediatric healing environment are profoundly different than any other healthcare setting. DesignLeveL understands the psychological needs of diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds of patients, their families and extended care for them are as individual and unique as a thumbprint. At the same time, we understand pediatric healthcare facilities must be functional and efficient for medical, research and administrative staff members and supportive of the patient’s family during an often very vulnerable time. Our spaces are thoughtfully designed to amuse, inform, calm and educate patients and families, while supporting caregivers by offering “offstage” areas and true respite opportunities.
